AGV robot improve 10 times efficiency in Shenzhen Baoan Library
Release Time:2019/9/9 Number Of Clicks:288

Recently, Shenzhen Baoan Library applied the logistics sorting technology to the book sorting, and the intelligent sorting and returning system composed of 32 AGVs was busy and orderly moving up and down the workbench. It is understood that the Baoan Library has a book circulation of more than 10,000 copies per day during the peak period. It takes 2 days to complete the sorting and re-stocking. After using the intelligent sorting system, 2000 books can be sorted every hour, which greatly saves the book sorting. time.
The intelligent sorting and returning system is divided into a sorting area and a box changing area. Sorting is divided into two upper and lower layers. There are 28 sorting robots named “Xiaozhi” on the upper level, and four transfer robots named “Ruoyu” on the lower level.

After the reader self-returns the book, the sorting station will read the book RFID chip and identify the book information. The background management system is responsible for controlling and scheduling all "Xiaozhi" robots, which can receive books according to system instructions, and arrange optimal paths for each robot for book delivery according to algorithm optimization. In the sorting process, “Xiaozhi” can also achieve “perfect” automatic avoidance, obstacle avoidance, self-charging, etc., without manual intervention, and go to the designated grid.

Under the platform, the “Ruoyu” handling robot has a weight of 200 kilograms, but the body is large but responsive. After receiving the order, “If Fool” will quickly “back” the full book box and move it to the replacement area to hand over the staff. At the same time, another "Ruoyu" carrying an empty box will quickly go to the bottom of the grid to fill the position.

At present, there are 30 sorting grids, which are distributed according to the book category and collection location. The four self-service books are fully loaded and can be sorted and 2,000 books per hour. All returned books are centrally processed on the sorting system. The heavy initial sorting work is done efficiently and quickly by the robot, and the efficiency is more than 10 times that of the traditional manual sorting.
For the staff of Baoan library, it takes a lot of energy and time for the books to be returned, sorted and put on the shelves of nearly 10,000 books every day. The staff will push the car to a different book return office, collect the books, sort them and re-seat them. At the peak of the library flow, some book boxes will be filled in half an hour to an hour, and they need to be transported frequently. There are many kinds of books that have been moved back. The administrators need to classify these books according to the books outside the library, the books in the branches, and the books in the library. The books in the library are classified according to the functional areas, and finally arranged according to the number of the book. After all the classification work is done, the books will be shipped to different shelves.

Compared with manual sorting, the intelligent sorting and returning system not only saves time and effort, but also helps the staff to reduce the number of four books, large batches of manual sorting, as well as small sorting errors, system reliability and expandability. .

The sorting robot adopts static unloading. As long as the written single information is correct, the theoretical sorting error rate is zero. The system consists of many independent sorting robots. The single robot fault does not affect the operation of the whole system.

It is understood that since the opening of the new library of Baoan District Library for 6 years, the business has developed rapidly, and the number of books returned during the peak period has reached more than 10,000 copies. The “Hui Return Book” intelligent sorting and returning system can meet the needs of the current district returning book business. In the future, the number of robots and grids can be flexibly increased to meet the business growth needs.
