On local time, June 24, Microsoft officially released the Windows 11 operating system after the launch of Windows 10 in 6 years ago. The preview version of this new OS will be released to application developers next week.
Windows 10 is the most widely using computer operating system in the world, with more than 1.3 billion devices on using now. Microsoft has previously announced that the Windows 10 operating system will be retired in 2025.
In term of new function, Microsoft announced that the Windows 11 system will support Android applications, which users can download through the Amazon application store. This means that users can directly use popular applications that they use on their mobile phones on their computer desktops and "start" menus.
Another point, Microsoft announced that it has rebuilt the faster Microsoft Store, introducing more first-party and third-party applications, easily allowing users to explore applications, games, video programs, movies, etc. The Windows 11 system allows users to create multiple virtual desktops for living and work, and customize them according to their preferences, just like on a Mac computer.
In terms of performance, the Windows 11 system will bring a better PC gaming experience, allowing direct to use fast hard drives and to load large games. The new OS system introduces some functions of the Xbox game console to the computer side, supports automatic HDR (High Dynamic Illumination Rendering), and can adjust the lighting and colors in the game to make the image more vivid. In addition, the new OS system supports most computer game accessories and peripherals, and users can access computer games through Xbox Game Pass for PC or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
In appearance, the Windows 11 system is becoming more and more similar as Apple OS, introducing more rounded corner designs, placing the "Start" button at the bottom center of the screen instead of the left side, and canceling the dynamic tiles introduced in Windows 8.
In terms of ecological construction, Microsoft stated that it is creating a more open ecosystem and is taking steps to provide creators and developers with more profitable opportunities. Unlike Apple, Microsoft does not require application developers to use its payment system. Developers can introduce their own business models into the Microsoft Store and retain 100% of their revenue. Microsoft does not charge any fees.
Currently, Microsoft has not announced the official release time of the Windows 11 system yet. But good news is that Windows 11 will offer freely upgrade. Win7/Win8/Win8.1/Win10 systems are fully covered, and can be installed and used directly.
At the same time, Windows 11 will also be pre-installed on computers newly listed this fall.
