Industrial Internet Helps The Dual-carbon Digital Transformation
Release Time:2022/9/13 Number Of Clicks:400

Recently, the China Automation + Digital Industry Annual Conference and the 18th CAIMRS and Digital Leaders Forum held by China Industrial Control Network were grandly held in Beijing. As the most influential brand summit of China Automation + Digital Summit, with the theme of "New Cycle, New Manufacturing and New Power", this industry Annual Conference has invited many industry leaders and leading enterprise representatives to share their insights and successful experience on digital transformation, and talk about the future of digital wisdom.

Looking at the current situation of the industry, the energy consumption in the industrial sector is the largest, which is the main battlefield to achieve the dual-carbon target. China's industrial energy consumption accounts for about 65% of China's total energy consumption. China has a low energy efficiency level in the industrial sector. Improving industrial energy efficiency will help reduce the use of fossil energy and reduce carbon dioxide emissions at the source. In the next 20 to 30 years, promoting industrial energy efficiency will be one of the most important ways to reduce industrial carbon emissions and achieve carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals.

In addition to the energy consumption problem, the development of enterprises themselves also urgently calls for the arrival of double carbon. At present, Chinese enterprises are facing global competitive pressure, which affects the global industrial chain. For example, the EU's carbon border regulation mechanism will begin as a trial basis next year, and it will also impose carbon tax restrictions on many energy-intensive industries. Global companies such as Apple have also put forward green transformation to their upstream and downstream supply chains, and continue to do energy saving and carbon reduction requirements. It is not difficult to see that the global market competition has accelerated the process of dual-carbon and digital transformation.

At the national level, starting from 2021, governments at all levels will focus on the release of the NDRC report card on dual energy control and dual carbon control, leading to many localities to limit production and electricity. Especially in this year's high temperature weather, the hydropower supply in Sichuan and Chongqing areas is insufficient, and the industrial power rationing in some areas is serious, affecting the production capacity and normal production and operation of enterprises.

On the other hand, in order to accelerate the pilot trial and pilot demonstration of green and low-carbon economy, the state also gives guidance and support to a certain extent, including industry and information technology, development and reform, science and technology Commission and other government departments’s special fund support for enterprises. Since last year, a large number of national green double-carbon funds, loans and credit have entered the market of enterprise services. At present, many prefecture-level cities have tens of millions or even hundreds of millions of low-interest green loans, with interest rates of 3.5 percent or even lower. Such low-interest loans provide very great support for enterprises to implement the green and low-carbon transformation.

In this context, double-carbon is the inevitable choice for enterprises under the current production capacity structure upgrading. So, what is the important role of digitization? We can see from the "Industrial Carbon Peak Implementation Plan" jointly issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the Ministry of Ecology and Environment that actively promoting the digital transformation of the industrial field. This is one of the six key tasks to achieve the industrial carbon peak. So for manufacturing companies, how to promote the dual-carbon target through digital tools?

The path of dual-carbon development in manufacturing industry:

The first step, to see clearly, is the visualization stage. In the past few years, the vast majority of manufacturing enterprises have failed to achieve a perfect three-level measurement system;

The second step is to calculate it accurately. Through the systematic construction of energy management, the establishment of the digital system and the digital system of carbon management, to understand the overall flow of energy, to make the energy efficiency of the whole energy evaluation;

The third step is to control it. Through the complete closed loop of energy data, form a closed loop control of the energy supply end and the use end, including the controllable risk of carbon assets, and the guiding analysis related to carbon trading.

Finally, to be sustainable. Data-driven, to achieve sustainable optimization and control

In the dual-carbon era, the operation logic of enterprises has changed significantly. The enterprise itself must be a successful practitioner , it is not only about the landing solutions, a wide ecosystem, but also a strong innovation ability to drive the common progress of the upstream and downstream of the industry.

As global climate change is intensifying, it is imperative to accelerate carbon reduction.
